This year was particularly difficult due to the drought and above-average temperatures that have been felt since January in the Douro.
We verified a “good birth”, with many clusters on the vines and, in terms of health, the year also went well, with few diseases. But not everything was golden: the grapes did not fully develop, the berries changed colour, but stopped growing: the grapes became “small”.
The harvest started on the 29th of August. That day we started to harvest the white and red grapes to step them in our granite presses to make room for our nectars.
This year we hope to produce wines of good quality, but little quantity.
