From one of the Family's oldest "Quintas" come these Port Wines that give you at taste of the best in life.
Quinta de Vale de Sapos (Frogs Valley) is one of the oldest estates in the family. It is located between the cities of Régua and Lamego, in the Lower Corgo, the 1st sub-region to be created on the Demarcated Port wine Region. This Quinta belonged to the great-grandfather Correia, who at his death left it to the great-grandmother Adelina Lopes da Silva. For years it was the family main residence, who only later moved to Quinta de Marrocos.
ELEGANCE AND FRESHNESS
Further from the river, Quinta de Vale de Sapos faces the majestic Serra do Marão, with a predominant exposure to the North and West, resulting in the elegance and freshness that are his wines trademark. The estate with 14 ha is situated at an altitude between 160 and 250 m. It consists of 5 ha of old vines over 50 years old in old stone terraces, and 5 ha of vines aged between 10 and 15 years in platform system, whit the main grapes of the region - Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca e Touriga Nacional - forming two batches,of "refinement" and "youthfulness".
A MAGICAL ATMOSPHERE
Though abandoned as the main residence, Quinta de Vale de Sapos still echoes of its heyday, when it was the family gathering center. Then there were horses to transport between Régua and the estate, and today the old horse boxes are still visible. Everything inspires mystery and a magic feeling. As the environment from where they come, the Quinta de Vale de Sapos Port wines defy us to taste the best of life at every moment. Aromatic, deep and smooth, these Port wines are a fresh starter, a relaxing break or the perfect ending to a nice meal. Enjoy.
